Multiple Uses for USPS Priority Mail Tape

I've become very accident prone lately. The other day while cooking, I opened the oven to pull out the rack. I no longer reach into the oven as I have (accidently) burned my arms numerous times by them hitting the sides of the oven as I'm reaching in.

I had my oven mits on and when I reached to pull the rack out, one of the mits slid off. Stupidly, I picked it up and put it on the counter and then reached for the rack again. OUCH!!!! I am such an idiot! I don't know what I was thinking. Obviously, I wasn't.

So now I have a lovely burn on the inside of my right hand and the cold water running over it is doing nothing to help the pain. Then I remembered we had a nifty little first aid kit full of stuff that was intended to be used on the children but seems to keep being pulled out to cater to my wounds. *sigh*

Gauze - Check! Burn Cream - Double Check! Medical Tape - Eh, nope! I had no patience to hold the gauze over the cream that was over my burn. I opened the "junk drawer", you know what I'm talking about right? We all have one. And whipped out my handy dandy USPS Priority Mail Tape. This stuff is like the super glue of tape, it sticks to anything and everything.

And it stuck on my hand for about an hour while I treated my wound. :D And in case you're wondering, I was making ribs and they survived the ordeal.
