Thank God it's Monday

I know people wouldn't usually say that but last week was terrible. One of the worst weeks I've had in a while.

We had personal issue's at home, business issue's, work issue's, stress, Stress and more STRESS!!!

I actually looked like the psycho mom yelling at her child yesterday as I was trying to get "D" off of a jumper so we could get going.

But thankfully, a new day/week has come and I hope this one turns out a million times better then last week.

Reminder Ladies and Gents! Tomorrow is April Fool's

Have any great jokes planned? Please share!

I'm going to stick with an oldie but a goody.

I'm gonna tie a rubberband around the sprayer on the kitchen sink and soak my husband and hopefully not my son.

I was thinking about playing a joke on him about his truck and me backing it into a pole but after yesterday, I don't think that's such a good idea.

His 4th baby (next to me and the 2 children) is his truck. It's lowered and has the rims and tons of work and money put into it. Well, yesterday he was helping me unload at a festival and he jumped the curb to get closer to my spot.

Rewind for a minute...about an hour prior to this I had jumped the curb, unloaded some boxes and as I was pulling off the grass to get back on the street, I got stuck. I got out and one of the tires was in the air just spinning (stupid truck). I called the hubby to ask him what to do and as the phone was ringing a nice gentleman came up to help. I said "My husbands gonna kill me!" and then, I hear silence on the phone and a "What did you do?" LOL! I told him to hold on. The nice guy said all he had to do was push it back onto the grass. Great! So he did and all was well, I got off the grass with no problem after that. The hubby was nervous but was fine once I said, "No babe, your undercarriage wasn't touching the ground. It's a hill so I just went at it at the wrong angle."

So needless to say, when it was time to pull the truck out onto the street again, he was gonna do it. So what does he do? He pulls straight off. IDIOT! Even I know that's a bad idea. LOL! He gets out and say's "That was stupid" "Really?" I said. His front 2 tires were on the street and the undercarriage was on the grass, stuck! It took 6 men, a Hummer and a chain to finally get that stupid truck off.

Love you Babe! It's a great story, I had to share. And hopefully you're reading this after April 1st.

I'll have to keep him away from the computer ;-)

So anyway, that is why I have decided to leave the truck jokes for next year.

Tackle It Tuesday

I decided to Tackle my hair today (actually Monday but close enough). Ok, ok, not me per say...but someone! BEWARE: This post includes venting at the end so leave after the photo's (but leave a comment :-)) if you're not up to seeing my best sailor imitation.

Before

After

I look MUCH better in the before (not to mention, thinner)!!! I hadn't been to the salon in 6+ months in that photo. I was really looking forward to going, even though I was going to be toting along my 6 year old son and 9 month old daughter. I had my emergency kit all ready to go, juice and Cheerios for Bean and a snack for "D".

When they call my name to go back, once I round the corner to enter "salon" territory the lady stops me and says, "You know, you're really not suppose to have kids here unless they're getting a hair cut too." My thought, "BITCH!" Apparently, she got the message from just the look on my face and then continues to say "it's for the privacy of our other clients. So do you wanna cut her hair (referring to my 9 month old daughter who has beautiful curly hair that is just starting to grow in)?" "No, I said. I don't! But you guys can go ahead and shave my son's head if you feel it's necessary to follow the crap ass salon rules!"

Now let me say, if I wasn't so freakin' desperate for a trim and so... looking forward to having nice flowing hair for maybe 2 days, I would have walked right out of there. So I said, "let's go!" The next 30 minutes included me trying to calm Bean from 5 feet away and telling "D" to just give her more Cheerios, just give her more Cheerios.

When we were nearing the completition of my "so not worth it" trim, the hair cutter lady who I now refer to as "skank" said, "Ya know, you really don't have to get his hair done if you don't want to." So I said, "Ok, so you think it would be better if I just left rather then hung around longer for you to cut his hair?" "Yes, she said." SKANK!

I paid my $35 and got the hell out of there as fast as I could. I felt like I had rabies or something. Geez people!

Now let's just put the icing on the poor customer service/stupidity cake real quick.

When I called last week, the receptionist offered me a 2:45 pm appt. on Monday. My exact words to her were, "That won't work because I need to pick up my SON from school at 3pm." Her response, "Oh, well we can't finish your hair in 15 minutes." No shit sherlock! What I am saying is, can I please get an appt. for after 3pm? She scheduled me for 3:15pm, now why didn't she pass on the "No Children" policy then? She knew that I had never had my hair done there before since she had to add some additional info to the system.

Lucky for you guys and for this company, they're not a franchise.

Thanks for listening, and nothing against stylist, salons, receptionist or natives of this fantabulous state!

Wordless Wednesday

Please ignore the terrible fashion statement we are making with J. Bean's outfit/pj's. We were just hanging around the house all day and mama didn't look much better.

She thought she would get a head start on big brothers "Writing with Phonics K5" book from last year. She has excellent cursive, if I do say so myself.

P.S. I'm having a giveaway below so if you're interested please sign up here.

*****My 100th Post*****

It's finally here, my 100th post!

Now I have to do something grand like give out $100.00 or tell you 100 things about me or even do 100 cartwheels. You're excited aren't ya? Well don't be, cause none of that's gonna happen. :-)~

However, I am giving away 2 prizes (maybe 3) to 2 lucky winners (again, mayber 3)! Got your attention? Good.

Since 100 people don't visit my blog, I need everyone's help with completing this giveaway before 2009. If you want to be eligible to win one of the prizes, leave a comment here and post something in your blog regarding this giveaway with a link back to this post. Easy enough, right?

Here are the Prizes

One lucky winner will receive a $20.00 Gift Certificate to The Pitter Patter Boutique.

Another lucky winner will receive a No-Throw Sippy Cup Holder from The Pitter Patter Boutique in their choice of fabric! These are getting more and more popular everyday and they're a must have for the mom and baby on-the-go!

And as a possible added BONUS, kind of a "wait and see" sort of thing, I may be giving away this beautiful reversable ring sling. A $75.00 value!

Now remember, to be eligible you have to post about this giveaway on your blog and link back to it. Only one entry per person please. Drawing will be held after atleast 100 people have left a comment. Also, please leave your first choice out of the 3 items above, that you would like if you won!

Thanks for playing and Good Luck!

Fundraiser for St.Jude Children's Hospital

Today my 6 year old son (1st grader) came home with a Math-A-Thon booklet. It's a fundraiser to help with research at the St. Jude Children's Hospital. There are approximately 250 problems in his booklet and the idea is to get sponsors to pledge .5c, .10c, 20c or more for each problem. Or pledge a flat donation amount of $10, $20 or more.

For example, if you pledge .20c per problem and he complete's 200, your contribution to St. Jude would be $40. There are also some pretty nice benefits for him as well. Not only is he learning math to help the kids over at St. Jude, he is also rewarded by Math-A-Thon with prizes. Dorian is a great student and I have included a photo of all the 100's he came home with today. He's sitting at the living room table right now working on his problems.

If anyone would like to contribute, please do so. It's a great cause and you will help many many children over at St. Jude who are suffering from life threatening illnesses. The deadline is March 28th. On that day we have to turn in all checks to his school. If you would like to send a check, please make it paypable to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. If you would prefer to pay with credit card you may send payments to me via Paypal and I will then write a check off of my account for you.

You can email me at sarah@thepitterpatterboutique.com if you have questions and you may also send you paypal donations there as well. If you would like to mail a check, please email me for my mailing address. All checks must be received by March 27th at the latest to insure that we get them to his school in time.

Here are some photo's of all the stuff we received and of my son who is working so hard on his problems...

All of his 100's!

The Prizes he could win.

His Math-A-Thon book full of problems.

His Math-A-Thon book and Student/Parent Guide

The steps on how to raise money for St. Jude.

The sheet that we would like to fill up with all of your pledges and ours.

The boy with all the 100's and with a goal already set to complete his whole booklet and get all of the problems correct.

We appreciate anything you can give to help the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Even $1.00 goes a long way.

Just for Mom Diaper Bags & Totes

We have a NEW collection of diaper bags, bags and totes on The Pitter Patter Boutique! Here's a sneak peak but if you would like to see more, go here.

Beauty and the Beast, the mini version

The lighting isn't very good but it's viewable. :-)

J. Bean is now 8-1/2 months and Max (aka HUSH!) is a little over 2 years old. They were both watching their big brother play on the play ground outside.

Warning: If you ever get a Yorkie, just name him/her "Be Quiet" or "Hush" or even "SHUT UP" if you wish. Cause the da#! dog never stops barking.

J.Bean thinks he's hilarious though, well, except for when he is licking up her nose :-/
