Fall, Ya'll Bloggy Giveaway

This Giveaway is now Closed. Thank you to everyone who commented and to "Rocks in my Dryer" for hosting an awesome giveaway. The lucky winner will be picked today and will be announced either today (Sunday) or on Monday.

During my short time of being a part of the blog world, I've entered a few giveaways. It's wonderful, all the great prizes that are out there to be won. So I thought I would join in on the giving. Let the fun begin! Head on over to Bloggy Giveaways for all the details.

For the Fall, Ya'll Bloggy Giveaway I am giving away one Nursing Cover (aka Hooter Hider or Breastfeeding cover) handmade by yours truly! :-) You can choose from either 2 options pictured below. Each Nursing Cover comes with a sewn in burp cloth to offer a quick way to clean up your lil' one. The burp cloth can also be used as a pocket for your breastfeeding pads or other items that you or your baby may need. The covers also come with a matching bag that is large enough to fold your cover into or it can be used to hold travel wipes and diapers. Each cover includes 12'' of boning around the neckline so you can maintain that important eye to eye contact while nursing. The cover measures approx. 34'' wide by 22'' long, more than enough fabric to generously cover you and your lil' one. Both cover choices are made of 100% cotton with 100% soft cotton for the burp cloth.

What do you have to do to enter? It's easy, just leave me a comment on this post. That's it! Any kind of comment you want! It can be long, short, funny, serious or just an email address to contact you at if you win. Just say what's on your mind or if you're interested in seeing the other items I offer just let me know and you will be entered. You do not have to have a blog to enter but you do need to provide your e-mail address so I can contact you about shipping. Open to US residents only, sorry! A winner will be selected SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 4th by the random number generator, aka, my husband. The winner will be contacted that same day and once I receive your mailing address your cover will be on it's way. Shipping is of course taken care of.

Please remember to leave an email address where I can contact you. And you must reply to this posting only. Reply's to other postings will not be counted in the giveaway. Thanks for stopping by. I Rock Ruff and Tough with My Afro Puff...

The Fro-Gression...

Phase 1 - High bald fade - very clean.

Phase 2 - The ugly phase. Your hair looks so messed up that it's better to walk around with this on your head then allow people to see what's underneath it.

Phase 3 - Cute curls. Oh excuse me, I mean handsome curls.

Phase 4 - Getting Close

Phase 5 - Pick Please

Phase 6 - Fro-Tastic! Dorian looks like he is on some than in this picture and Jordan is just trying to get a piece of it.

Dorian's first attempt at the Rock Climb

All it took to get him to do it was his Daddy telling him he would buy him a Halloween balloon if he made it to the top. We've tried many time's prior to this festival to get him to try it but he never would.

Oh Boy! That's high.

Facing his fears.

Go Dorian! Go!

So close...

And down he comes.

He didn't make it all the way to the top but of course his Daddy got him a balloon anyway. He did a great job for his first try. And if you're wondering where the balloon is, it met it's fate shortly after returning home.

Poopin' Baby

Who would've thought that a poopin' baby could be so cute. Nothing nasty in the video, just a grunting baby. LOL.

New Mommy's, be ready...it get's a little bit tougher

The first picture is of my baby girl Jordan who is 17 weeks now. You may hear me refer to her as J. Bean. The second picture is of my son (in the middle in the green shirt) on his 6th birthday. I'm the one standing behind them. Take a good look ladies, this is what they do to you after 6 years. But I still love'm.

I Surrender

This is an older picture of my J.Bean but it's so cute, I had to share it. Her shirt says, "Nothing's Wrong, I'm Just Testing You." I swear that every day she wore that shirt she was more, hmmm...we'll say moody (but I'm thinking of a different word) then every other day.

A Woman, a Bus and a Baby...

A woman gets onto a bus with her baby.

The bus driver says, "That's the ugliest baby that I've ever seen. Ugh!"

The woman goes to the rear of the bus and sits down, fuming. She says to a man next to her, "The driver just insulted me!"

The man says, "There's no call for that. You go right up there and tell him off. Go ahead, I'll hold your monkey for you."

Baby Facts

- Babies are born with 300 bones, but by adulthood we have only 206 in our bodies. The reason? Some bones fuse together later.

- Children born in the month of May are on the average 200 grams heavier at birth than children born in any other month.

- A newborn baby's head accounts for about one-quarter of it's entire weight.

- According to researchers at the University of Texas, babies like pretty faces better than plain ones.

- A fetus in the womb can hear. Tests have shown that fetuses respond to various sounds just as vigorously as they respond to pressures and internal sensations.

- The average child will eat 15 pounds of cereal in a year.

- Diaper rash occurs more often after 8 months of age.

- Baby oil and baby lotion lubricate the skin equally well.

- Aside from medical costs, it's been determined that new parents in the U.S. typically spend $7,000 in a baby's first year on everything from diapers to formula to day care.

Wordless Wednesday (Ignore the fact that I posted this on Thursday) Shhhh!

I will find the time, I will find the time...

So, I am really slacking on this blog thing. The main reason is because I have decided from now until Nov. 17th, which also happens to be the hubby's b-day, I am going to donate all my free time to preparing for a craft show I decided to rent a booth at. Wish me luck, I'm gonna need it.

I am here to say....that I will try to be a more dedicated blogger to my many, ahh-hem I many 1 :-( fan. Love ya Lisa.

First thing I need to do is...

Find a better place to take pictures of my products other then on my daughter's dresser. LOL

A Few of the Fun Things we Offer...

Nursing Covers

Each Nursing Cover comes with a sewn in burp cloth and matching bag to carry diapers, travel wipes and even the cover. All fabrics are made of 100% High Quality fabric. Here's just a few of what we have in stock at this time...

Deco

Flower Power

Twist

Khaki Eyelet (white backing for 100% privacy)

Car Seat Strap Covers

All come with a sewn on binkie holder made of Grosgrain ribbon with velcro closure. Double stitching over stress areas for the babies who like to yank out those binkie's. Customized strap covers available. Just send me a picture of your car seat and I'll do my best to match it. I currently have over 30 different fabrics to choose from including the one's seen above.

Oh, how she hate's the car seat. If baby's could talk she'd be saying this right about now...

Mom??? Why am I in my car seat while I am sitting in the LIVING ROOM!?!?!

Strap covers are approx. 5-1/2 inches long and fit all standard size car seat straps and stroller straps. Strap covers can be made shorter if you would prefer and you can also customize the length and color of your binkie holder. If you prefer to not have a binkie holder, that is fine as well.

Taggies

Made with super soft Minky Dot fabric. Measures approx. 12in. x 11in. and that does not include the length of the ribbon (grosgrain). Several colors to choose from other then the blue and brown one pictured here. I have to say that I am quite shocked by the reaction my lil' cupcake had to her new Taggie. It was love at first touch, don't you think?

If you have any questions or comments please feel free to email me. You can either leave me a message on my blog or at thepitterpatterboutique@gmail.com.
