Halloween Pictures & A Book Giveaway

Bean and D, a Cat and a Skeleton, ready for some candy.

She was so excited to go Trick-or-Treating. We went up and down our block and towards the end she started getting greedy. When she went to a door (with her brother) it went a little something like this...

Bean: TRICK-OR-TREAT!!!
Homeowner: Awww...you look sooo cute! (dropping candy into bag)
Bean: THANK YOU!!!
Homeowner: You're welcome honey.
Bean: I want more! I'm a cat, meow....
Homeowner: Awww....(putting more candy in the bag)

D had been waiting for this moment all day, or all week actually. He had a little button that he could push that made blood squirt down his chest. Lovely.

Lets go get some CANDY!!!!

An hour or so later...

They did pretty good for only one block. They had a lot of fun and everyone made it home safe. I think people asked us about Lola more then they did the kids. LOL! She was going to be a ghost but she kept stepping on the sheet. I guess a 155lb dog can create a lot of conversation, costume or no costume.

ON TO THE GIVEAWAY

I purchased the book above in hopes of getting a little inspiration. It was an OK book but if you love Patrick Swayze and have seen many of his movies, this is probably the book for you. Lisa Niemi was on Oprah this past Friday, If you watched the show then you have a little bit of an idea of what this book is about.

He talks a lot about his career and his love for Lisa, his illness is only mentioned in the last few chapters. I only saw 2 movies by Patrick, Dirty Dancing and Ghost, and it was cool to read all about the making of the movie and how things really were behind the scenes.

HOW TO ENTER:

Just leave a comment and a way for me to contact you. If your comments already link to your blog then you're good. If not, just leave your email address in the comments section.

I'll pick a winner sometime tomorrow (Monday) and I'll contact you for your mailing address.

Christmas is around the corner so if this book isn't for you, maybe you can give it to someone else. It's in excellent condition and comes from a smoke-free home. :)

Good Luck!

I was just asking about the costumes. The other day she kept saying something about a cat. I guess she was trying to tell me something. Tell D & Bean to save some candy for me.

Wow, the kids made out great. Look at that load of candy. The trick-or-treating was light in my neighborhood. It was drizzling and started raining at one point, so I've actually got my own stash of candy leftover. Better put some in the freezer before I lose track of what I've eaten.

Give-away, huh? Very nice idea of what to do with a new book. Passing it on is good on many fronts. I'll put my name in the bucket. Loved Patrick Swayze movies - Dirty Dancing, Ghost, and Roadhouse.

Ooh! I would love the book! I heard somewhere that they owned a ranch near where I live. And since the cover has her on a horse, it's probably true. :)
